Prepper Challenge
Challenge, kids:
You have $200 in disposable income to spend any way you like on preparedness items. Any items. Presume you already have a basic amount of food, ammo, firearms, etc.
Ammo is a pretty good idea. If you pick a common caliber (I'd say .22 LR might be the best bet) you can use it to hunt, defend yourself AND barter just about anything.
Bandanas. Lots and lots of bandanas. My first (and only) trip out into the field as an aspiring paleontologist years ago, an experienced hand told me to pack a couple of dozen bandanas as I'd find no end of uses for them, and so would my fieldmates. She was dead-on.
Buy more ammo.

Ammo and barter goods. Always be ready to barter for what you need but don't have.

Extra medical supplies that you wanted but didn't buy before becase they were too expensive.
ReplyDeleteA lot of good suggestions here and I go with ammo and meds. Never enough of either and beans can be had with the first!
ReplyDeleteA camp stove and fuel. Because I don't have one yet. And a bigger cooler so I can store more stuff longer.
