GfZ is waiting on the perp walk for her first rifle. A pretty little 10/22 stainless. When we're home I'll plunk her down in front of Midway or Brownell's for an optic.

She has decided to order a Nikon ProStaff 3-9x40... a solid choice all around. I'm partial to Nikon optics myself, evidenced by the presence of five in the safe right now.
For some reason the fed.gov thinks you're not smart enough to recognize my comments and opinions as just that. Or that people giving me free stuff would make for a better review. But to make a government paper-shuffler happy, here it is:
Unless otherwise and specifically noted, any product mentioned, commented about, or reviewed in this blog was bought with my own hard-earned money or given to me by a third party with no vested interest in a review (i.e., my wife).

I'm plenty familiar with Tech Sights. They have a place, and this wasn't it.
May I recommend the Nikon Pro Line? They have some nice little scopes designed for .22s...
Start with irons, get the fundamentals down first
