Storm Prep - Part 2

Local friends are reporting that the grocery stores are already out of bottled water and gas stations are rationing.

I had been thinking about going in town to take care of a few things today, but you know what? I think not.

Yeah, made THAT mistake yesterday, but I needed to go to the range... But I did fill up with gas.

Didn't have any issues getting gas, and although I didn't go INTO the grocery store the parking lot didn't really look that much more full than it normally does this time of day on a Sunday....Course, most all of what we need to be prepped we already had. I'll fill some empty jugs with tap water Monday just to be safe....

Ruth, we didn't have any issues with gas either (20-odd gallons), and Wegmans had pallets of bottled water out.

The gas station was a bit busy, but not bad. Grocery was perhaps a hair more crowded and there were a lot of people getting pasta and canned soups. *shrug*

I hit the grocery store on Saturday for distilled water as required by the machinery and grabbed 15 gallons of distilled - usually I clean them out. Tons of bottled water still there.... And the woman in line (with TP & ice cream) still decided to make a comment to me about hording and not leaving anything for anyone else.

At 3 days before a possible storm, I didn't feel any issues. Well I did, moreso for letting my machines get low enough that I had to stop production to go fetch water !

Wally, you're so selfish. I am too; make sure you buy plenty of DW! ;-)
